Meghmalla Basu sought revenge for the worker’s murder even before being taken to the operation theater
Meghmallar Basu, a candidate of the Resistance Council for the post of General Secretary (GS) in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections, will undergo an appendix operation today (September 2). He himself announced the matter by posting on social media Facebook.
In a post posted around 8 pm on Tuesday, Meghmallar Basu wrote – ‘I will enter the operation theater. Seeking prayers and blessings.’
Even before the operation, he was vocal in favor of the labor movement. Protesting the incident in which one person was killed and at least 10 others were injured in a police clash during a workers’ protest in Uttara EPZ, Nilphamari on Tuesday, he wrote – ‘I want revenge for the killing of workers in Nilphamari.’
